In 1946, Rik Matthys started his own printing company that developed into a real family business and quickly profiled itself as an offset printing company.

In 1984, it was Ludwig’s turn, the eldest son, to start his own business - the “Turnhoutse Fotogravure”. He too managed to build up a modern and successful company in just a few years.

In 1998, both family businesses decided to join forces under one name and under Ludwig they formed a solid basis for the success of the company that has since become known as “Grafische Groep Matthys”. 

We are looking to the future, full of confidence, because Ludwig’s four sons guarantee the continuation of this success story.
