On 30 September and 1 October, Grafische Groep Matthys exhibited at Empack Stockholm in Kistamässan. It was our very first time at a Swedish packaging trade fair.
Our colleague Bart Lauwaert welcomed visitors at booth ST:3, under a simple message: “Our first impression in Sweden. Inspired by what Sweden values most. Premium appearance. Engineered for recyclability.”
At the booth, we showed what cold foil printing can do for paper and board: printed sheets with 1001 metallic effects, next to finished packaging examples. Premium sheets that are fully accepted in the paper and cardboard recycling stream, and a natural fit for B-Corp and EcoVadis certified organisations.
Since April 2026, we have also been a member of Packbridge, the Swedish packaging cluster. Empack was the perfect occasion to meet the Swedish packaging community in person.
And the trip itself? Bart made the journey from Belgium to Stockholm in an electric van. Sustainable on the road, sustainable in print.
